Maxwell Mabona is a junior researcher at CESAR who qualified with a Master’s degree in Field Epidemiology from Witwatersrand University. Prior to the master’s qualification, he studied Clinical Medical Practice at the University of Pretoria and practiced medicine in several public and private healthcare facilities.

Maxwell is proficient in research methods including proposal writing, data collection, cleaning, analysis, report writing, and communicating findings. He believes that data should not sit static but should be analyzed and used to inform pragmatic decision-making. 

When not reading public health publications, Maxwell enjoys running and believes he will run the Comrades Marathon soon.
