James is a qualitative researcher with a background in social anthropology and urban geography. James completed an MA in urban studies in 2019 and has since been working in the international development sector, first with Save the Children Switzerland and then as a freelance research consultant. As a consultant, James has worked with a range of NGOs, development organisations, and government agencies in Southern and East Africa conducting research on migration, children’s rights, homelessness, and public health, among others.

Outside of work, James is a reader and a tinkerer who enjoys swimming in the ocean and is often trying to find ways to spend more time outside.
