Emelina Mutabazi-Nizere holds a Masters in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences from the University of Pretoria.
She has experience working in provincial health administration where she responded to public health threats, trained healthcare workers, and conducted research that informed public health action. Before that, she did clinical and import regulatory work as a veterinarian.
When she is not working, she enjoys reading, puzzles and art.
